SCMP - Hong Kong Inclusion Summit 2026 (2 February 2026)

Thank you to SCMP Live for hosting such an impactful Hong Kong Inclusion Summit 2026 yesterday. It was an honour to attend and engage with such vital conversations on the future of inclusion.

A major theme was articulated by Scott Price, CEO of DFI Retail Group: "sustainable growth comes from companies that embrace diversity." This is a core principle that we champion at Sensational Foundation — diversity is the engine of true innovation and resilience.

The insights were spread across numerous panel discussions and breakout sessions and we are thankful to all those speakers who gave their time to share their knowledge and lived experiences.

A few key takeaways from the summit:

• Ritu Bhasin (bhasin consulting inc.) spoke about how Asia is positioned as a critical leader in closing the global gap on disability inclusion.

• Curtis Baker (he/him) from Dow emphasized building a genuine "sense of belonging"—a feeling that must connect with each individual in their own language and culture.

• Kirti Lad (Meraki Executive Search & Consulting) reminded us that "What you can see, you can be." Visibility and representation matter fundamentally.

• Special thanks to our Board member, michelle mak of Dun & Bradstreet, for expanding the lens to economic inclusion and warning that the greatest risk is "normalising injustice."

Of course, no SCMP Live Summit would be complete without our other Board member, Sudesh T, and Razlan Manjaji who helped steer the event to success.

Embedding inclusion throughout business operations and values creates powerful, tangible benefits for all.

Gratitude to the sponsors who made it possible: DFI Retail Group (Presenting Sponsor), Manulife and MTR Corporation Limited 香港鐵路有限公司 (Inclusion Sponsors), and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (Exhibitor).
